The Squad


Thomas Dawson 19 Goalkeeper

Another recent acquisition to the squad. Dawson arrives via Bishop Auckland and Middlesbrough Academy. Has the potential to be a very smart goalkeeper. Scotland under 18 international who commands his area and good ball distribution skills. Excellent signing.


Robbie Stockburn 24 Goalkeeper

Ex Synthonia shot stopper. Played with Jack Connor and Daniel Maloney at Grangetown Boys Club. Spent last season at Darlington Road for West Auckland Town and joined Town during the summer.


Mark Dixon 23 Left Back

Productive first season with Billingham Town and was in excellent form before season curtailed by an ankle injury. Studied Sports Science at University and Wearside League for Stockton Town


Stephen Oakley 25 Defender

Tall Centre half who is dangerous from set pieces. Experienced player who joined Town from Ryhope last November. Previous clubs include Whitby Town, Guisborough Town, Horden, Esh Winning, Norton and Brandon United.


Harry Taylor 24 Defender

Another player returning from injury. Can play centre half or at right back. Northern League football with Horden and Stokesley. Travelled to the Southern Hemisphere and Played for Olympia Warriors in Australia.


Dan Rowbotham 25 Defence

Centre half and brother of Josh Rowbotham. Played with his sibling at Synthonia before a short spell with Town. Returned back to Synthonia but decided to sign for Town again in July.


Lee Moore 19 Defence

Suffered from an unexplained Liver condition. As a result Bishop Auckland have loaned out the full back for three months to improve his fitness and to gain valuable game time. Former Sunderland Academy product and Spennymoor Town first team member. Already shown his quality in a handful of matches.


Gary Redman 24 Defence/Midfield

Utility player and a fans favourite. Spent most of last season at right back and can also play in central midfield or out on the wing. Northern league experience with Horden, Stokesley, Thornaby and Norton & Stockton Ancients.


Jack Connor 21 Midfield or Central Defence

Last seasons Managers Player Of The Year winner. Tall, skillful attacking midfielder and ball playing centre half. Find of the season when he joined Town from Teesside League outfit, Grangetown Boys Club.


Clayton MacDonald 23 Midfield or Right Back

Not only a tough tackling central midfielder, but also a Mastermind Quiz Champion!! Second spell at Town and played for Thornaby, Guisborough, and Stokesley. AKA Scholesy!!


Matty Hawkins 22 Midfield

Tall, Strong Central Midfielder. New signing from Norton & Stockton Ancients. Two previous spells with Stokesley Sports Club


Daniel Maloney 24 Midfield

Combative central midfielder. Played alongside Jack Connor at Grangetown Boys Club. Popular squad member


Luke Hogan 19 Midfield

Small but a quick and tenacious midfielder. Impressed against Town last season while at Esh Winning. Previously with Hartlepool FC. Summer signing.


Ashley Lavan 21 Midfield

Well travelled at such a young age. Good first touch and passer of the ball. Played for Stokesley, Billingham Synthonia, Newton Aycliffe, Darlington R A plus a spell with Grangetown Boys Club. Summer signing.


Connor Dunlavey 22 Midfield

Extremely pacy midfielder from Spennymoor Town. Signed in September but unfortunately pulled his hamstring seventeen minutes into his debut. Full of promise and one to keep an eye on when he regains fitness.


Aaron Foley 27 Midfield

October new signing from Thornaby. Vastly experienced midfielder who had brief spells with Seaham Red Star, Billingham Synthonia and longer spells with Stokesley, Northallerton and most recently at Thornaby. Welcome addition to the squad that further strengthens the middle of the park.


Matthew Crossen 26 Midfield

October new signing after his return from the Great Britain Olympic squad that took part in the Rio games. Spent majority of his career in Division one with Billingham Synthonia and Marske United. Also had spells with Stokesley, Thornaby and West Auckland. Excellent reader of the game and confident on the ball. Could be the signing of the season!!


Jamie Davis 28 Midfield/Forward

Attacking midfielder. Played for Billingham Town when he was a teenager in Northern League Division One. Wearside League football with Hartlepool FC and Seaham Red Star Reserves before returning to Town last season.


Lee Jones 23 Midfield/Forward

Signed early 2016. Previously with Ryhope and Hartlepool FC. Looking to play more regularly this season.


Marcus Allen 19 Midfield

Another teenager blessed with pace and a pre season signing. Had a short spell with Darlington Railway Athletic and Stokesley Under 18s.


Bradlee Popple 18 Midfield/Forward

Son of Assistant Manager, Graham Popple. Only eighteen but played a handful of games last season. Another pacy winger who recently turned out for the reserves. As with Marcus Allen, another youngster, Popple will be looking to get game time with Paul Beddow's squad.


Elliott Beddow 19 Midfield/Forward

Son of Reserves Manager Paul Beddow. High hopes expected from the youngster after scoring his first goal for the club against Thornaby. Quick, and excellent at holding up the ball. Competition for Craig Hutchinson and Chris Dickinson. Spent majority of last season with Hartlepool FC Reserves.


Craig Hutchinson 22 Forward

Diminutive but technically gifted striker and Towns top scorer last season. A real find from Hartlepool FC in the Wearside League.


Christopher Dickinson 21 Forward

Professional career with York City and at Annan Athletic in Scotland. Previously with Darlington, Leeds United and Middlesbrough Academies. Last season had spells with West Auckland Town, Billingham Town and Billingham Synthonia. Returned back to Town in the summer.


Daniel Lambert 22 Forward

Excellent pre season signing and already prolific in friendlies. Played for Darlington in the Conference and then moved on to Spennymoor, Marske, Newton Aycliffe and Bishop Auckland. Natural goalscorer.
