After a short break, John Tough has agreed to return to the club on a part time basis.

Chairman Paul Beddow said, " Since John’s resignation, I have had a meetings and long discussions with him. I have asked John to reconsider his recent retirement from the board.

"John did a lot of unseen work in the club and was responsible for adopting new policies, renewing the lease, establishing the club as a limited company and ensuring we were tax efficient. He also obtained £10,000 lottery funding, the benefits of which you are now seeing in the clubhouse.

"John was also looking at income generation projects as well as developing a five year plan for the club.

"After lengthy discussions John has agreed to come back to the club albeit on a part time basis initially until until the end of the season when we will review the situation.

"He will pick up where he left off and continue with the projects he had identified to take the club forward.  As John had resigned as director of the Club its is my intention to appoint him as an associate director of the club until the end of the season.  This is in line with the powers of the board under the Constitution and articles of association."
